Fighting for Their Lives

BOOK LAUNCH + COMMUNITY GATHERING

Saturday, June 13, 2026
6–8pm
Blackroom Salon
61 Berkeley Street, Boston
Reading at 7:00pm

On June 16, Fighting for Their Lives publishes. Three days earlier, we're gathering in Boston to mark it together.

This book exists so other families don't navigate what mine did alone. The launch is the same. A room of people who get it. The parent who's been the loud one in the hallway. The partner showing up at the hardest appointments. The friend who answered the late-night text. Whether you've lived it, loved someone through it, or work in the systems that shape these stories, you belong here.

This is an open event. No ticket required. Bring someone who needs to know they're not the only one.

Light bites and drinks on me. Every guest is entered into the raffle, with items donated by businesses and allies who support mental health and LGBTQIA+ communities. A reading from the book at 7:00. Conversation. The chance to celebrate something this family worked a long time for.

Getting There

Hosted at Blackroom Salon, an ego-free, inclusive, affirming space at 61 Berkeley Street.

Closest T: Back Bay on the Orange Line, about a 5-minute walk.

Driving: There's free 2-hour parking on Chandler Street (the first right after the salon), plus the Back Bay Garage and Atelier 505 Garage nearby. Street parking on Berkeley is metered until 6pm and becomes resident-only after, so give yourself a little extra time if you're parking at the curb in the evening.

Save Your Spot

Tell me you're coming. I'll send a confirmation and any last-minute notes the week of.
